The American Bobtail, is a cross breed of the Tabby & the Bobcat. It is the result of genetic mutation and engineering. The American Bobtail has eyes as big as almond, which range in a variety of different colors. The average weight of the American Bobtail is around seven to ten kilos.
American Bobtails Grooming
There are two types of American Bobtails one has relatively long hair, and another has relatively short hair. Care for American Bobtails will mainly depend on the hairiness and hairstyle of the cat, as well as age of the cat. Generally twice a week grooming for the long haired American Bobtails is required. For shorter haired Bobtails once a month grooming should be sufficient. The American Bobtailed cats will require additional grooming during shedding seasons. It is always a good idea to get your American Bobtail cat accustomed to regular grooming at a young age. Start grooming your cat when it is just a kitten.
The American Bobtail makes a great companion for people of all ages. The look and appearance of American Bobtails are wild but, behavior, and temperament, is not.
